Sahiba & Daley’s Pre-Wed Shoot at Castle Howard

I met up with Sahiba & Daley last week on a what was a gorgeous Spring day. They chose Castle Howard as their pre-wed shoot venue and we made use of the grounds to capture some of these wonderful pictures.

Daley isn’t a ‘posey’ person, if that is even a word, instead he believes that when you take a photograph you’re stealing the soul!! Interesting thought and one that had us rolling in laughter.

Sahiba on the other hand, was a natural at posing as you can see from the pictures.

I look forward to photographing their wedding later in April at the beautiful Oulton Hall.

Michelle & Chris’s Wedding at the Old Deanery, Ripon

I met Michelle and Chris last year when they had starting planning their wedding, they were having a small intimate ceremony at the Old Deanery in Ripon, which is a beautiful building overlooking the Cathedral. They had been let down by another photographer and so my job was to put them at ease and reassure them that I would be there on the day to capture these wonderful moments.

We went for a little stroll on to the streets of Ripon and although the light was fading, we got some cracking shots. Here are some images from the day.

Shama & Waqas’s Wedding

Shama’s wedding was so much fun! She was a truly happy bride and this is visible in all her pictures. This was a small Muslim wedding held at the Orient Express in Rotherham, they decorated the hall beautifully, and the pink theme looked gorgeous.

I had a great time capturing these moments :)

Shereen & Stewart’s Wedding

This was a fantastic wedding, set in a fantastic location, yes everything about it was fantastic :)

St. Agnes is a beautiful coastal town in Cornwall where Shereen and Stewart both live, they met here too and have fond memories of the quaint beginnings of their relationship which has now developed into a wonderful partnership for life.

They make a gorgeous couple who compliment each other perfectly. All the best to them and many congratulations :)

Seema & Madhukar’s Wedding

I’ve known Seema for quite a few years now, we’re practically family, if you’re Asian and reading this, you’ll know what I mean :)

When Seema asked me to photograph her wedding, I was thrilled. I knew hers would be a wedding that I would never forget and I was right. This was one of the best weddings I’ve been to and photographed, everything was organised so well and everyone was so welcoming.

Seema and Madhukar make a lovely couple and I wish them the very best :)

This month, I attended the SWPP Members Day where I met some fellow photographers from the Yorkshire region and some from beyond. Stewart Randall, talked us through his style of photography and later we had the chance to build our portfolio by photographing the gorgeous Emma McVey.

Renu & Mohammed’s Wedding

Renu and Mohammed had an intimate Registry held at Bradford Registry Office, that was followed by a small reception at Aakash Restaurant in Cleckheaton.

Renu and Mohammed’s love story is like something out of a Bollywood film, they’ve endured much adversity and stayed together for the many years, finally tying the knot on the 26th of March, 2011.

Renu was surrounded by her lovely friends in the absence of her family and Mohammed’s family showered her with lots of love and welcomed her into their family. This was an emotional wedding, albeit, a really lovely one to capture.

SWPP Accreditation

Great news everyone, I am now an accredited member of the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers.

I’m looking forward to take part in their many competitions and the convention next year.
